SNJS Works on the Statue of Liberty
Projects
In 2009 Southern New Jersey Steel was honored to assist in renovations to the Statue of Liberty. We helped to fabricate and install rails that allow visitors access all the way up to the crown, which had been closed to the public since September 11th, 2001. We felt privileged to be able to work on such an iconic symbol of hope and freedom for America. This job held an even greater significance to one of our employees, Anton Popeskic, who can remember when he first laid eyes upon the Statue of Liberty when his family arrived to America in 1969.
